Stallion

We use four stallions on the ranch and each has been chosen for specific characteristics. We argue about which is our favorite, but we always end up believing that we have four useful stallions that produce well and fit into our goals of producing useful, structurally sound offspring that have the ability to make good cow horses. We say cow horses with the realization that not everyone wants nor needs a cow horse, but we believe that if we raise a good cow horse then that horse can go on to become about whatever someone wants him to be.

Write It Down has a great pedigree and he is a good producer. His offspring have run bred into them, but they also have good dispositions and are very athletic. He’s not the prettiest horse, but we believe that he more than makes up for that in his produce.

BH Pale Velvet passes on lots of his buckskin color as well as a great disposition. His offspring are gentle and kind and have proven themselves as good cow horses as well as arena horses.

Gold Pine Royalty probably produces the most athletic offspring of the stallions, with agility to spare. His colts are probably the most watchy to start, but when they get past that they are cow horses deluxe.
