We always begin the sale with a horse that we feel would work for almost anybody on the bleachers and "Fred" is the one this year. He's been used on the ranch and is ready to go on and do whatever you want to do with him.

This is a shapey little horse that has been Matt's project this spring. He has doctored on him, drug calves at the branding, and anything else that needs done on him. He's gentle and is easy to get along with. Matt's done a good job with him.

This gelding has a real good start and he has a lot of potential. He's been ridden on the ranch the last year.

Simon is a real shapey little horse that's easy to get along with. He wants to please.

This horse comes from Chris Roux and here's what he says about the gelding: "Of all the ranch geldings I ever used, he has got to be one of the easiest to get along with. He could be one of my all time favorites." Coming from Chris, that's quite a statement.

Won Bow should be one of the highlights of the sale. He's a real sharp looker, is gentle, and has had a lot done on him. He's started in the arena. He's taken to everything we've done on him.

Steamed--isn't that a great word name?--has to be one of the friendliest horses we've had in some time. He's gentle, has a great attitude, and fun to have around.

Mo is a big, gentle, trail horse. Wherever you are, he will be right there in your pocket.

This gelding has been used on the ranch to sort pairs, tag and doctor calves, and drag calves at brandings. This horse is gentle and kind to be around and is a nice all around using horse. He belongs to Tom and Sue Quint, who have always put horses in our sale.

This loud, overo gelding has had lots of outside riding. We’ve covered the country on him, moving cattle and checking cattle on him.

Shadow would be a useful horse for anyone who can ride. He has a nice attitude, is just average size, and can do a lot of things about right.

This yearling filly is cute and she knows it! She’s smart, easy to handle and looks as if she’s going to make a great mare. We believe she will have some speed and be very athletic. Would make a good 4-H project.

This cute little sorrel filly should mature into a really good mare. The “Velvets” are usually pretty laid back and Lena Sage is a good mare. She’d make a great 4-H project or youth project.

This mare is a little slow maturing, but we believe she will develop into a good-sized, useful mare.

This horse is a little behind some of his class because we just didn’t get him ridden, but he has the potential and we think he will develop into a very useful gelding.

This gelding is flashy! He belongs to John Hopson, who helped us last fall and again this spring. His palomino color makes him stand out and he rides as well as he looks. Was used as primary calving horse this past winter and has drug calves to fire all spring. Is started heading, heeling, and calf roping. Gentle for any level of rider.
Lot 19 JAZZ Unregistered Gray Mare 1993
This mare has done it all. George and Kim Ehmke purchased her at our sale several years ago, but now the kids are leaving home and they don’t really use her very much. She’s quick enough to rope on and gentle enough for a kid to trot around the barrels. She has no fear and will go anywhere: up, on, or over. She’s been picked up on, patterned on barrels, poles, and trail course, and started in breakaway. Absolutely no buck and a pretty gray, too.

It is with sadness that we are selling “Joanie”—so names because we purchased her through Joanie Stull. She has been an extremely good broodmare for us, but she just needs a little more care than we can give her. The foal at her side is a filly and is by Write It Down, our Dash For Cash stallion. She is a little beauty!

This mare belongs to Jace Capraro and his mom, Kim Ehmke. “Hagen” is as good and gentle as they come. She’s been to a branding and they used a her little to calve on. They started her last fall with 10 rides and got her back in again this spring and she was just like they left off last fall. She’ll make a good 4-H project or good for barrels, roping, or trails.

This gelding belongs to Ed Winters. Ed has always had an outstanding horse or two for our sale and this one is just the same; well bred, shapey, and they’ve used him to calve on, and the is the kind you’ll be proud to ride.

Punch is a big time traveler that belongs to Patrick Chester, who helped us last fall and again this spring. This horse can really cover the country. He has been one of Pat's main using horses for the last two years. This horse has roped a lot of cattle in big country and gives 100% all the time. Gentle for the whole family.

Also registered in the APHA, this gelding belongs to Chris Roux. He’s been the project of Sara Beth, Chris’s fiancée, who is an excellent hand herself. She has ridden him this past year and he is broke. Chris says you won’t see a 3 year old that is this broke in a long time.

This mare comes from Tom and Sue Quint. She is gentle, well started, and shows a lot of potential. They have used her to move pairs and check cows through calving.

Lot 28 SMALL TALK Unregistered Bay and White Tobiano Gelding 2002
Not a pony and yet not a horse. He’s really well made, good looking, and rides pretty well. He’s not ready yet for kids, but would be great for a person who wants a smaller horse, perhaps an older youth or a woman.

Dave can’t say enough about Cowboy. He ropes both ends in the arena, is good to do ranch chores, and will fit the whole family. Gentle for most everybody.
